What is GMAT Exam ?

Around 2300 Graduate b schools accept GMAT entrance exams to give admission in around 7000 courses.GMAT exam is more expensive than CAT, XAT, SNAP, NMAT taken together. GMAT exam fee is US $250 which is approximately Rs 17,500. This is much higher than CAT (Rs 1,900) or XAT (Rs 1,700). Also, top international B-schools have a longer admission cycle, typically running into 18-24 months. So, advance planning, serious preparation and focus is the key to crack GMAT.

The Graduate Management Admission Test(GMAT) exam is a computer-based test that evaluates the candidates’ analytical writing, quantitative, verbal and reading skills in standard written English. This test is taken to get admission into a graduate management program, such as MBA and related courses in business schools across the world. After taking this exam, the score card is valid till 5 yrs. Student can take admission in any of the college who accept GMA. This Exam started in 1953 and was managed by the Graduate Management Admission Council.

GMAT Exam Eligibility

  • The candidate must be 18 years of age or above (if the candidate is between 13 and 17yrs old then he/she needs a written permission from a parent or legal guardian.)

  • There is no upper age limit of the candidate.

  • Candidates who want to enrol for an MBA programme should have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

  • Candidates cannot take the exam more than 5 times within a rolling 12 months period. Candidates need to wait for 16 days to appear in the exam again.

  • Each candidate has 8 attempts in total to appear in GMAC.

Registration of GMAT 2023

GMAT is a management entrance exam conducted round the year, and not on any particular dates/month. Accordingly, the GMAT Registration remains open throughout the year. As you have the flexibility to take the exam on any day depending on the availability and time slot, you can register for the GMAT exam as per your convenience.

 So, there is neither any rigidity on the GMAT 2019 registration date nor on completing your GMAT 2019 Application form before any fixed date as you can register, apply and appear in GMAT anytime during the year.
