IIMs have dominated the list of top MBA colleges in India for the last decade with their placements, infrastructure, and other factors. Somehow things have changed in the last couple of years and private MBA colleges have also dominated the Management education space and made them count in the list of top 10 Business schools of India 2023. For all the colleges it becomes tougher to be on the elite list of colleges but it's, even more, tougher to maintain that. Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) is a business school placed in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The college has been accorded the status of an Institute of National Importance by the Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India in 2017. The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad is approved by AICTE. Popular courses offered by the college are MBA, PGPM, PGPEx, and Ph.D. Around the world, the Financial Times has ranked IIM Ahmedabad 29th positing in its Masters in Management Ranking 2022 and 61 in its global MBA Ranking 2022. It was the first Indian Institute of Management to be established, and has been recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India in 2017. Programmes offered by IIM Calcutta include a two-year full-time MBA,a one-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma(PGPEX-VLM), a one-year MBA for experienced executives, Doctor of Business Administration programme, a two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics, and a one-year full-time programme in Healthcare Management. IIM Calcutta is one of only three triple accredited business schools in India, and the first to get the recognition. It is also the only business school in India which is a part of the CEMS Global Alliance in Management Education. The Financial Times has ranked IIM Calcutta 21 in its Masters in Management Ranking 2020 and 42 in its Global MBA Ranking 2020.

IIM Indore
Founded in 1996, the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, also known as IIM-I is the sixth IIM established under the IIM legacy. IIM Indore has been ranked 7 under the Management category by the NIRF India Ranking 2022, making it one of the popular government B-schools in India with an autonomous status. IIM Indore offers PGP and PGPMX programmes along with several executive courses. Accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management is the flagship programme of IIM Indore. Apart from this, the institute offers a slew of new-age programmes at the PG and doctoral levels. Earlier, highest and average package offered was INR 70 LPA and INR 25.90 LPA to the EPGP department during IIM Indore placements 2022, respectively. Similarly, the PGP HRM department recorded a 100% placement rate during placements 2022. However, the highest and average package offered was INR 36 LPA and INR 20.30 LPA.
